Tyson Foods put the "action" into Hunger Action Month yesterday when they delivered 28,000 pounds of protein to CVFB. These high quality chicken breasts and more will be tremendously beneficial to so many in need in our community, and we are deeply grateful for such a significant donation. They couldn't have come at a better time, as our shelves (and our freezer) are frequently bare these days. Many thanks from all of us to the very generous folks at Tyson, and especially to the Tyson folks from Richmond, including Lisa Jones, Anna Cuadrado, and Chaplain Ken Willis. A special note of thanks for this delivery goes to Tyson over-the-road drivers Buddy and Sherry Crowe, the husband and wife team who together drove 19 hours straight from Rogers, Arkansas—more than 1,100 miles—to get this food to the hungry in Central Virginia.
